Shandong Expressway Dejian Group has officially started construction on the country's first full industry chain LiDAR project
On August 31, 2024, the on-site promotion meeting for the construction of major projects for high-quality development in the province was held. The Dezhou branch venue was set up at the site of the semiconductor LiDAR and sensor device industrialization project undertaken by Shandong Expressway Dejian Group. After the provincial conference, the groundbreaking ceremony and work promotion symposium for the industrialization project of semiconductor LiDAR and sensor devices were continued. Xia Kai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and General Manager of Expressway Dejian, attended the symposium.
At the meeting, Tian Weidong, Secretary of the Dezhou Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, announced that the industrialization project of semiconductor LiDAR and sensor devices with a total investment of 5 billion yuan has officially started construction. After the completion of this project, it will not only break the monopoly of foreign technology and achieve independent and controllable core chip technology, but also promote the formation of a full industry chain ecosystem in Texas, enter the forefront of the domestic integrated circuit industry, and create a first tier city in the national semiconductor industry.
At the work promotion symposium, Xia Kai made a statement, stating that the high-speed Dejian has equipped a strong management team composed of the company's brand project manager and technical experts, and will adhere to the company's core concept of "building with virtue and winning with trust", to achieve high-quality and safe completion of engineering construction tasks on schedule, and contribute to the early completion and production of the project and the high-quality development of Tianqu New Area.
The total construction area of the semiconductor LiDAR and sensor device industrialization project is 250000 square meters, and it is planned to build factories, office facilities, and ancillary facilities. After the completion of the project, it is expected to produce approximately 1 million laser radars, 450 million sensor components, 50 million transmitter components, 50 million receiver components, and 2.15 million sets of modules annually. The estimated annual sales revenue is 8 billion yuan, and the annual tax revenue is not less than 200 million to 300 million yuan, driving employment for more than 2000 people.
